For more than 25 years, his voice has carried Jamaica's culture across continents. Sacred classics, Italian arias, Broadway, jazz, and the folk and mento traditions of home.

Steve Higgins is a tenor soloist, musician, public speaker, actor, director, and producer. He sang with the internationally acclaimed Jamaican Folk Singers for more than 23 years under the ethnomusicologist Dr. Olive Lewin, spreading Jamaican culture across continents.
In 2001 he founded the South Florida Caribbean Chorale, a roughly 50-voice ensemble that hosts an annual classic Christmas concert series and leads the annual Jamaican Consulate's Independence Service. He is also a dedicated advocate for preserving mento as Jamaican musical heritage.
